Connecting TikTok

Connecting
- Open Channels → Add channel → TikTok.
- Log in to the TikTok Business account you want to receive messages for.
- Confirm access — the channel appears in the list with status Connected.
What's supported
Through TikTok you can receive and reply to messages (text and images) — the same as Instagram. Comments under videos don't reach Chato yet — that's a separate feature that doesn't exist yet.
You can't message a customer first — TikTok's direct-message policy for business accounts is even stricter than Instagram's and doesn't allow outbound messages at all. This is a platform limitation, not a plan restriction.
Checking status
A channel's status is visible in the Channels section: if TikTok revokes access (for example, an authorization token expires), the status switches to Needs reauthorization — reconnect the account, your conversation history is preserved.
